Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's (November 3) eventual loss to the Atlanta Falcons due to a hamstring injury, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush replaced Prescott after the injury.
"#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has been ruled out with a hamstring injury and Cooper Rush takes over," Rapoport wrote on his X account.
Prescott was ruled out with 11:08 remaining in the fourth quarter and was seen grimacing on the broadcast replays of a 10-yard completion to Jalen Brooks. The former Mississippi State standout finished Sunday's game with 133 yards and one touchdown 18 of 24 passing, as well as a season-best 30 rushing yards, most of which was recorded on a 22-yard run in the second-quarter, the Cowboys' longest rushing play of the 2024 season.
Rush finished Sunday's game with 115 yards and one touchdown on 13 of 25 passing. The Cowboys dropped to 3-5 with Sunday's loss, their third consecutive and fifth in the last seven games.
Dallas will face the NFC East Division rival Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium next Sunday (November 10) in their first of two annual matchups.
