Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther is issuing an executive order requiring face masks to be worn at all indoor public spaces in the city. Ginther issued the order on Wednesday as Columbus and the entire state continue to see a surge in COVID-19 cases. Ginther said the strain has reached a breaking point, and there are not enough healthcare workers to handle all the new cases. A state law on public health orders passed in March over Governor DeWine's veto limits Ginther's power to mandate masks for only 30-days.
