Mail Carrier Dumps Mail On Side Of The Road Before Quitting

A U.S. postal worker left a dozen filled mail bins on the side of the road in New Jersey before quitting their job. Kewnoneal Bennett found the bins and shared a photo of the unattended mail on Facebook, where it quickly went viral.

If your looking for your mail it maybe on river road by 36st station...share this post ppl information is out on the street

The mail was dated August 8th and was supposed to be delivered from the Roxborough Station Post Office in Philadelphia. The U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General opened an investigation and managed to track down the mail carrier who discarded the bins of undelivered mail but found they had quit back in September. Because the employee no longer works for the USPS, no action will be taken against the unidentified individual.

"We do not anticipate any further action against this individual," Special Agent Scott Balfour said. He promised that "the Roxborough Station Post Office is going to deliver the mail."
