A pair of hikers that became lost were rescued Sunday evening. The man and woman, reportedly in their 20's, had been hiking in the area known as Battle Creek Falls earlier in the day, but became lost on the trails. Falling temperatures and potentially bad weather raised concerns about possible hypothermia and frostbite.
LifeFlight dropped crew members near the location of the pair to give them food and treatment. After it was clear neither one had suffered any injuries the pair was flown off the mountain to be further examined by paramedics.
