Multiple police agencies are looking for a person suspected of carjacking two vehicles Tuesday morning. Events began after the suspect allegedly stole a vehicle that was left running in Holladay, before abandoning it and carjacking a second vehicle in Sandy. Officers with both Unified and Cottonwood Heights police departments engaged in a brief pursuit with the suspect, but eventually lost sight of the vehicle.
A local elementary school was placed on a precautionary lockdown at the request of police. The search remains ongoing with officers from multiple agencies assisting.
