Thomas S. Monson, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, has passed away at the age of 90. According to a church spokesperson he died around 10 p.m. Tuesday evening at his Salt Lake City home and was surrounded by family at the time. It was also was he died from "causes incident to age."
Monson's death comes after visible signs of a declining health, including shortened talks at LDS General Conference sessions, and an outright absence from two sessions at this past conference in October. His wife, Francis Monson, passed away in 2013.
