Man arrested with over $20k in stolen items

A man accused of stealing more than $20,000 in construction equipment has been arrested, after a brief chase in a stolen vehicle. Tyson Brent Anderson, 36, of Salt Lake, was booked into the Carbon County Jail on suspicion of reckless driving, fleeing from an officer, failing to stop at an officer's command, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Officers had been responding to a report of a reckless driver in Price canyon and located the vehicle, a Dodge pickup truck which was towing a jeep on a trailer, but upon noticing the officers the driver fled from them.

Officials from several police and sheriff's departments, as well as Utah Highway Patrol, took part in pursuing the vehicle. When the driver reached a dead end he abandoned the truck and fled on foot, but was apprehended. Upon investigating police discovered the vehicle and trailer had been stolen and that Anderson was also in possession of stolen construction equipment. Authorities are now working to return the stolen items to their owners.

Anderson is no stranger to law enforcement, having been arrested in August on suspicion of theft by receiving stolen property, failing to respond to an officer's command, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Court documents show he has a long and
