Former Saratoga Springs officer arrested

A recently retired Saratoga Springs police officer has been arrested after police say he allegedly had sexual contact with a 16-year-old boy. Aaron David Rosen, 46, of South Jordan was booked into the Utah County Jail Thursday for investigation of one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree-felony. Officials with the Utah County Sheriff's office say that a father called police on Thursday, when the man arrived home from work early and saw a partially clothed man leave from the second story of the residence, run to a car, and drive away. The father was able to get the license plate information and a description of the suspect's vehicle to police, who identified it as belonging to Rosen.

Details about the alleged relationship between Rosen and the boy have not been fully investigated, but investigators believe they may have met over social media. Rosen had retired from the department roughly one month ago, where he had also served as a public information officer.
