Police are looking for information in the case of a missing man who was last seen Thursday afternoon in American Fork. Investigators say that Paul Heiner Swenson, 30, was last seen around 3 p.m. Thursday at his home when he took the family's black 2016 BMW to head up to an appointment in Salt Lake County. The vehicle was later found unoccupied "under suspicious circumstances" near an elementary school, but police have declined to give details as to what those circumstances entail. The family was able to determine he had been near 4700 South and 900 East in Murray at one point Thursday evening, but the trail stopped there and Swenson's phone has been turned off, making GPS tracking impossible.
Swenson is said to be around 6-feet tall, around 190 pounds, with red hair and hazel eyes. His hair is short on the sides, while remaining long on the top, and he was last seen wearing a heather-gray short sleeve shirt, black jeans, and black converse shoes. He also has a half-sleeve tattoo on his right arm. Police believe he may have been suffering from a medical condition when he left the residence in American Fork.
Anyone with information on Swenson’s whereabouts is encouraged to call Utah Valley Dispatch at 801-794-3970.
