Three children under the age of five have been taken to Primary Children's Hospital after an accident Thursday night in which the car they were riding in was hit while in an intersection. Around 9 p.m. a driver with the three young children pulled out of a parking lot on Redwood Road, but it stopped in the middle of the traffic lane and was struck broadside by another car. When emergency crews arrived at the scene two children were found to be seriously injured, while another was in critical condition.
All three children were rushed to Primary Children's Hospital, where their conditions were eventually upgraded overnight. Police have not given any details on the cause of the crash.
