A day on the lake took a tragic turn for two fishermen. Sunday night two men, both in their 60's, were fishing on the lake, but when they failed to report in by 10 p.m. that evening, authorities were alerted. Police began searching for the two men and their boat, but found only their vehicle and the trailer for the boat at the launch ramp. One of the men was found holding onto a buoy Monday morning, and was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition having been exposed to water temperatures between 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit.
The other man remains missing and the search for him continues. A search and rescue helicopter has been deployed to assist in the rescue efforts. The capsized boat was found roughly eight feet from the shore Monday morning.
