Suspect arrested in West Valley arson case

A suspect in a West Valley Arson case has been arrested and charges have been filed against them. Records from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's office show that the suspect was arrested following Friday's fire, and charged with arson and attempted murder. Authorities say the suspect intentionally started the fire at the West Valley apartment complex, then tried to tie his neighbor's door shut to trap him inside. They go on to say that the suspect admitted he started the fire to try to stop his neighbor from "hurting him."

The suspect remains at the Salt Lake County Jail, with no court date being listed. Nobody was injured in the fire.
