A man is in jail and felony charges have been filed after admitting to recording naked teens exiting a shower without their knowledge. Personnel from Google alerted authorities to the man in question after they came across evidence of child pornography and alerted the a CyberTipline, reporting that a user had uploaded an image to their email. When the IP address was traced back to its original user, the man was identified as 24-year-old Nathaniel Isaiah Tamplin, of St. George. On Tuesday a search warrant was executed on Tamplin's residence by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Tamplin was located at the residence and taken into custody.
When questioned Tamplin eventually admitted to having filmed women leaving the shower without their knowledge "a dozen times," leading authorities to charge him with two of second-degree felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, along with two class A misdemeanor counts of voyeurism of concealed electronic equipment. Tamplin was released from police custody on $21,950 bail pending trial. His initial appearance will be held on Feb. 27.
