Police arrest suspect in SL home invasion case

Police have made an arrest in connection to a home invasion and robbery case in Salt Lake City. Marvin Steven Lindsey, 41, of Murray, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail Tuesday for investigation of aggravated robbery, having a stolen vehicle, and theft by receiving stolen property. According to police Lindsey allegedly went to a house around 9:30 a.m. Monday and when an older woman answered the door he forced his way inside at gunpoint.

Investigators say that Lindsey took drugs and two firearms from the house and fled in the woman's car. He was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday after Murray police located the stolen vehicle with Lindsey still inside of it. Police also recovered a pistol, shotgun, and a third gun that were found inside the car.

Police have not said if they believe the house was intentionally targeted, or if it was chosen at random
