Investigators responded to a rental home Friday, after receiving a report that cameras had been found hidden in the bathroom of the rented villa. When authorities arrived at the scene they located two cameras were concealed in an upstairs bathroom. One had been hidden behind a toilet and pointing towards the shower, while the other had been hidden behind a trash can and pointed toward the area a person would normally walk to access the shower.
When questioned, the homeowners told police they had not placed the cameras, and they gave investigators permission to collects the devices and secure digital cards found inside. During an interview with police, James Steven Larsen, 39, of Magna, who is acquainted with the renters allegedly admitted to buying the cameras and placing them within the home. His intent had allegedly been to obtain nude video of individuals in the home without their knowledge.
