A Waverly man is dead following a single vehicle crash earlier this morning in Pike County. Just after 1:30 this morning, a 2000 Toyota Tacoma driven by 49-year-old John D. Lightle failed to negotiate a curve and went of CR-37 near State Route 772. The vehicle struck a culvert, a driveway pole and a tree. Lightle was pronounced dead at the scene. The Portsmouth Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation into mishap.
