Two people were injured Monday after a crash that involved an ODOT truck and a FedEx semi, the accident occuring in Fayette County on U-S Route 35. The ODOT truck was parked along the roadway as crews were making road repairs when it was struck by the eastbound semi. The driver of the ODOT vehicle was still inside, the ODOT truck was outfitted with a crash cushion, which serves to protect the crew inside the vehicle. Both the ODOT driver and the FedEx driver were taken to the hospital with non-life threateninginjuries. The accident occured shortly after 10:00 Monday morning and US 35 was closed for a few hours for the clean-up.
