Utah lawmakers plan to meet this Friday to discuss overriding Gov. Spencer Cox’s expected veto of a bill that would prevent transgender girls from participating in school sports that match their gender identities.
News of lawmakers meeting this week to override Cox’s veto was first reported by FOX 13.
“I’ve talked to a number of colleagues after the session, both in the House and in the Senate, who have expressed concern about whether they voted the right way or not,” said state Sen. Daniel McCay, R-Riverton.
