If you're planning to ski and eat at a Park City Mountain Resort this winter you may want to get a COVID-19 vaccination, reported ABC 4. While vaccinations aren't required to ski, they will be required for guests at the resorts' quick-service restaurants. Vail Resorts says the company is focusing on staying safe during the pandemic.

Anyone over 12 years of age planning on dining at any of the resort's restaurants will need to show proof of the vaccination. The resort's website states, "This requirement includes those guests 12 and over in our ski and ride school programs that include lunch. More details on the verification process will be released ahead of the season."

In addition to the vaccinations, face coverings will be required in select indoor areas of the resorts. This includes restaurants, lodging properties, restrooms, rental locations, and retail locations. Masks will not be required outdoors.

Resort officials say, "Consistent with many other large-scale indoor activities and venues, we believe the vaccine requirement is important for the protection of our guests and our employees, given the number of people using these facilities and the fact that guests will not be wearing face coverings while eating and drinking. This is currently the only part of our experience that will require proof of vaccination, unless required by local public health."
