Crazy Video Shows Unmasked Partiers Turn MTA Bus Into Wild Hookah Lounge

An insane video shows a group of people taking over an MTA bus for a spontaneous hookah party in Maspeth.

There's plenty of dancing, drinking and people having a grand time in the video - while also ignoring every health recommendation during a global pandemic.

A group of party-goers hopped on the bus as the driver was trying to get around two double parked cars shortly after it left the Grand Avenue Depot around 3 a.m. Sunday. The video, from WorldStarHipHop, shows people smoking and bumping around while not wearing masks and not social distancing.

The party lasted about 15 minutes, according to the Greenpoint Post, but the MTA was not amused.

“That rambunctious crowd put the bus operator and themselves at risk when they violated multiple health and safety laws and rules by taking over a bus for mask-less smoking and lewd activities without regard to social distancing,” MTA spokesman Tim Minton said in a statement to the New York Post.

So far, 127 MTA employees working in its bus and subway division have died from the coronavirus, The City reported, so the health of its workers has been a central concern for the MTA. The driver of the impromptu party bus is reportedly fine, and the bus was later sanitized.

Now city officials are trying to find the partiers with the help of social media, reports ABC.
