Man gets 1-15 years for shooting

A man has been given a sentence of up to 15 years in prison, after pleading guilty to shooting another man in the chest. Caleb Plainer has pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree aggravated assault from an incident dating back to July 2017. The plea was entered in November of the same year, and as part of the plea deal he will be given credit for time he has already served.

According to investigators Plainer had suspected the victim of messing with his gun and ended up shooting him. The victim claims he did nothing aggressive that would have provoked Plainer. After being shot the victim fled to the safety of a neighbor's house and called the police.
