The public is being asked to help in finding a man who left a work program release on Friday. Officials with the Cache County Sherrif's Office say that Trevor Dee Shepherd, 23, was last seen leaving the work release lobby at the Cache County Jail around 7:15 a.m. Friday morning, but failed to check in again at 8 a.m. and hasn't been heard from since. He has since been charged with escaping from officials custody, a third-degree felony.
Shepherd had been serving time for charges of failure to stop at an officer's command, a third-degree felony, and other misdemeanor offenses to which he pleaded guilty. He was granted work release in December and had agreed to all the rules and policies related to the privilege.
Anyone with information about Shepherd’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the sheriff’s office at 435-755-1100.
