Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of an early morning blaze at a Logan business that left it heavily damaged. Crews were called to the scene around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning after reports of a fire at Tai Pan Trading began to come in to dispatch. Upon arriving they found the back of the building was covered in heavy smoke and that fire had already vented to the roof.
Fire crews were able to contain the flames to a corner of the building, which has sustained heavy water, fire, smoke, and structural damage as a result of the blaze. Buildings that were adjacent to the fire site suffered minimal to no damage and have remained open. Tai Pan Trading will be closed while investigators look into the cause.
No injuries have been reported in relation to the fire. So far no estimate on the overall cost of damage has been given.
