Salt Lake City home attacked by drive-by shooters

A Sunday afternoon drive-by shooting in Salt Lake City has left one home struck with multiple rounds and officers are asking the public for help in identifying those responsible. The shooting took place around 5 P.M. with several rounds striking the occupied residence, and one of them even clipping a gas line. When officers arrived they shut off the meter and informed the gas company it was in need of repair.

Officers interviewed those inside of the residence at the time of the shooting, and described them as "semi-cooperative," but were given no indication as to who would want to shoot their house, or any information that would lead them to a suspect. Witnesses that were interviewed told police that three juvenile males were seen running away from the area shortly after the drive-by occurred, and were wearing all red and black clothing. However, it remains unclear if they were connected to the shooting in any way.

There were no injuries as a result of the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000.
