An 18-year-old man is in the hospital, after allegedly being stabbed five times by his younger brother during an argument. The man is said to have been arguing with his 14-year-old sister and reportedly began assaulting her. According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office the younger brother, 16, tried to intervene and allegedly stabbed the man five times in his arm, chest, and upper back. The man was taken to a hospital in Murray by air and was listed in critical condition. However, his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening at this time.
The younger brother has been booked into a juvenile detention facility in Provo, on one count of aggravated assault, a second-degree felony. The older brother is facing one count of child abuse, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly assaulting his sister.
