Prosecutors are saying that another person may face charges in connection to a massive drug ring that was run out of a basement in a suburb of Salt Lake City. Authorities say that 27-year-old Aaron Shamo and five others were behind a multimillion-dollar drug ring that sold fake prescription-drugs, primarily the powerful opiod fentanyl, online. At one point they made nearly $3 million in less than a single year.
Now prosecutors are saying that new charges may be filed in the coming weeks. Investigators are continuing to look into if there were any overdose deaths in relation to the drug ring. Four others are currently charged in the case.
