A St. George restaurant manager is facing charges in connection with him allegedly having a sexual relationship with a teen employee inside the bathroom of the facility. Raymond Kapongo, 23, of St. George was charged on Thursday, coincidentally his birthday, with unlawful sexual activity with a minor, a third-degree felony. Kapongo was a shift leader at a Teriyaki Grill, and managed the girl according to charging documents. She was 15 when the first alleged sexual activity occurred, and later turned 16.
The investigation began in July when police received a that the pair "were having sex in the bathroom of the restaurant. Investigators also discovered that the sexual encounters were not confined to the restaurant bathrooms, but that they also occurred at Kapongo's residence as well. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Tuesday.
