National Guard recruiter charged in enticing minor

A South Jordan man who was trying to recruit a 17-year-old girl to be in the Army National Guard has been charged for enticing a minor. Kyle Ronald Ivory, 26, was charged Monday with sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony; and enticing a minor, a third-degree felony. According to charging documents, between June and November 2016 Ivory sent text messages and pictures with the girl, as they talked with each other about having sex. Ivory remained in his position as a full time recruiter in schools until December or January, but was removed following an internal investigation into his alleged misconduct in the messages with the girl. He remains a part-time soldier while the Utah Guard waits for an outcome in the courts. If found to be guilty of the accusations he will be dismissed according to officials with the Utah Guard.
