Unified police have issued a warning to the public that they should be more proactive about making sure their car doors are locked, following a string of car break-ins. Police say since March 5, there have been 11 car burglaries in a ten block area off of 12300 South and between 4000 and 5000 west. They also say that based on resident surveillance footage from the incidents, they believe there are at least two or three people involved, utilizing everything from a Toyota Prius to a bicycle for a getaway.
