Police seeking man who tried to abduct teen girl

St. George police are on the lookout for an alleged kidnapper, after a 16-year-old girl managed to escape a man who tried to pull her into his vehicle Wednesday. According to police, the teenager said she was walking near a roundabout when she saw a man standing next to a Jeep and smoking a cigarette shortly before 4 p.m. She went on to tall police that the man grabbed her arm and began to pull her toward the Jeep, telling her she needed to get in the vehicle.

The girl fought back and made as much as noise as she could to try and prevent the man from forcing her into the car. She managed to break away and run from the man, who then reportedly left with a woman who voluntarily entered his vehicle. He is described as a man in his 30's, roughly 5 feet 6 inches tall, with shaggy hair and facial hair. The Jeep he attempted to abduct the teen with is reported to be an older model, white, with a tinted back window and several stickers.
