Police are closing in on a man who stole money from Girl Scouts, while Taylorsville’s mayor has offered to let the girls sell cookies at City Hall.

Unified detective Ken Hansen said Monday afternoon that police have received "some really good leads" about a man who stole money Saturday about 4 p.m. from Girl Scouts selling cookies. The man reportedly grabbed the girls’ cash box from a table set up outside a Taylorsville Walmart, 5469 S. Redwood Road (1700 West).
