Police have identified a 49-year-old man who died after a vehicle he was working on fell on him Wednesday night. Salt Lake police say that Mario Perez and a friend had been working on the vehicle that evening. The friend left for about 20 minutes, and returned to find Perez pinned under the vehicle. Friends and neighbors were able to remove Perez from under the vehicle and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite the aid he later died to his injuries.
Police say that while the cause of the vehicle falling is still under investigation, this appears to be simply a "tragic accident."
