South Jordan Shoplifting Suspect Called 'Armed and Dangerous'

IN BROAD DAYLIGHT -- WITH CHILDREN AND ADULTS LOOKING ON -- SOUTH JORDAN POLICE SAY, A BRAZEN SHOPLIFTING SUSPECT PULLED A GUN ON WALMART EMPLOYEES, ABOUT 8 MONDAY NIGHT, AS THEY ATTEMPTED TO STOP HIM.

OFFICER SAM WINKLER SAYS HIS DEPARTMENT FOUND THE SUSPECT'S ESCAPE TRUCK, IN A NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD.

THEY ALSO HAVE GOOD STORE SURVEILLANCE VIDEO.

BUT THE ARMED AND DANGEROUS WHITE MALE REMAINS ON THE RUN.

THE CRIME OCCURRED AT THE WALMART ON THE BANGERTER HIGHWAY, AT 113TH SOUTH.

WITNESSES -- IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE THE TRUCK WAS LEFT -- SAY THE MAN MAY HAVE STOLEN A BIKE, AND USED IT TO RIDE OFF... ON THE JORDAN RIVER PARKWAY TRAIL.

POLICE SAY THE 5-FOOT-8, 140-POUND SUSPECT IS TATTOOED ON BOTH ARMS AND LEGS.

ANYONE SEES HIM SHOULD CALL SOUTH JORDAN POLICE.
