SALT LAKE'S HOGLE ZOO IS WELCOMING FOUR YOUNG LIONS, AS PART OF ITS NEW AFRICAN SAVANNA EXHIBIT.

THE PUBLIC BEGAN MEETING THE NEW FELINES, FRIDAY.  THE ZOO HAS NOT HAD ANY LIONS, IN MORE THAN EIGHT YEARS.

THE NEW ANIMALS INCLUDE TWO MALES AND TWO FEMALES... AND ZOO OFFICIALS HOPE THEY'LL HAVE CUBS, IN YEARS TO COME.

THE SECOND PHASE -- OF THE NEW AFRICAN SAVANNA EXHIBIT -- WILL OPEN AT THE END OF THIS MONTH, FEATURING GIRAFFES, ZEBRA AND OTHER ANIMALS.
