A landslide -- much smaller than the one last spring -- sent about 100 Kennecott miners home early, Wednesday night. There were no injuries -- and officials aren't sure whether heavy rains played a role in the slide.
In southern Utah, rain is definitly to blame for mudslides and flash flooding. No damage has been reported, in Hurricane. On Wednesday, local high school students took a "field trip" to the site, to assist in filling sand bags.
And in central Utah, the UHP closed a 45-mile section of Highway 191 -- from Spanish Fork Canyon to Duchesne city, due to multiple mud slides.
